Incoming 6th Grade Students

Hello Future 6th Graders!  

We are very excited to have you join the JHMS Colts next year!  Yes, we are a big school, but we want you to know that YOU, the individual YOU, will be well cared for here. You will have lots of adults that will care for you and look out for you.   6th grade will be a lot of new experiences.  Here's a few:

• New classmates--we bring all the elementaries together and there will be lots of new classmates and new friends.

• New teachers and lots of different teachers--you will have 7 different classes at once.

• Advisory Class--this is to help you with all the new changes.  

• School sports and clubs.  

We encourage you to seek out new challenges, new experiences and new people. Entering middle school will bring many new adventures and you will be surrounded by adults that support you, know you as an individual, challenge you academically, and keep you safe.  We hope you have a great summer and look forward to welcoming you to JHMS for the 2023-24 school year.
