Instructional Materials
To be college and career-ready, today's students require an education that goes far beyond what was needed by students in the past. All students must sharpen their math skills, deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts, and develop their ability to problem-solve, reason, and communicate. To achieve this, the JHMS Mathematics Department uses a variety of instructional resources and techniques. Number Talks and Strings (used to build number sense and fluency from the work of Fosnot, Harris, and others).
